Richard Lamers - Executive Director
“Music and entertainment are
an important part of my life”
Richard Lamers, executive director with Bold Unicorn Entertainment, is responsible for all matters which involve finances and contracts. He also plans careers and events and is able to find the best possible market for your talent or show. He knows how to take care of public relations and promotions, always being patient and finding the right moment to put things into motion. His over 25 years of experience make him well educated in the world of music. He is the right person for the job. So if you need a manager or producer, contact him. Why look for somebody else?
His involvement with music started in 1982 by founding the REO Speedwagon International Fan Club in Europe for which he served as president. His contacts with the band and their management company initially sparked his desire for a career in the music and entertainment business.
In the mid-nineties he was manager of local bands Waiting For Columbus and Paint It Black, both of which achieved critical acclaim and were very successful locally.
Since 2000 he hosts the 3-hour country radio show “Nashville” at regional radio- and TV-station Streekomroep START, for which he won the Award for Best Country Show at a Dutch Radio Station in 2003, together with then co-host Pierre Nieling. He also hosts a weekly 2-hour show presenting news and events and is involved in organizing the broadcasts of many of the specialty live shows. In 2008 he was promoted to head of radio-division.
“Music and entertainment have always played an important part in my life and continues to do so” he says. “A meeting with REO Speedwagon and people from their management in 2007 led to the ignition of the desire of being in the entertainment business. Then I got to know Viktorija, which led to the final steps into the right direction. And now there is Bold Unicorn Entertainment”.
